Ramping it up at Velosports

28 01 2009

Lately we’ve been holding team training sesions at Velosports Performance Center. They have a slew of computrainers we’ve been jamming on inside when the weather outside is frightful. We watch cool films like The Flying Scotsman (we didn’t have enough copies of the book) and crank out some watts for performance testing. With our first collegiate races coming soon on Feb. 7-8th, these rides have really helped us to ramp it up.

ABRC in Action

28 01 2009

We think that the Asheville Bicycle Racing Club is the club to watch in 2009. ABRC has been the foundation of Asheville area cycling for a long time, and now they are stepping up once again to promote the cohesiveness of our local and diverse cycling scene. They lend support to elite men and women, masters, juniors, and collegiate teams. Plus, they put on one of the premier cycling events in Asheville, the French Broad Classic. Check out their website forum for the latest local cycling news and events, including races, group rides, and gossip. Join them. We are!
